Horrendous user experience design

Many of the backgrounds appear to be of good quality. But the design of this *paid* application is horrendous. It doesn’t leverage ever so basic non-blocking calls to retrieve wallpaper thumbnails. This is why you see a spinning beachball as it downloads images. I thought we moved past that problem 10 years ago. The design of the UI is reminiscent of 1980 when developers doubled as the UI designer (ouch) and buttons were in their infancy.

They avertise #1 paid application in so many countries yet can’t take the time to design a fairly decent application. Perhaps this is a great opportunity for someone to come in with a better solution - they leave the door wide open.
